Perhaps its just the way of the world, but I sure thought in 1972 that we would have had more of a positive influence on humankind's impact on the planet. I suppose that like most of the world, we were too engaged in our families, careers, etc., to continue efforts to clean up the air & water. There seems to be such an inevitability to decay, spoilage, etc., that I can't help but liken our times to the last throes of many earlier, failed empires/civilizations. I can't give our generation more than a C- on our stewardship of the planet. Praise the Lord (not Bob L.) that marijuana is adaptive to warming climes.
