Rich Cifelli and I painted a house to make money to attend field school with UofM (Archaeology). While there met my future bride and developed interest in Archaeology/Geology. Transfered to U of Maine, graduated in 1977, grad school at U of Alberta - first child, Shelby, born in Edmonton. Moved to Germany and taught with UofM for 10 years, where son Max was born. Back to states taught with San Juan College, NM then went to run Core Lab at U of MN. Wife got job in Boulder, CO that paid more than both of us made so moved to Boulder. Now I still work for U of MN, scientific coring around the world. Both kids live nearby in Denver and I'm getting ready to go back in the field. Also foster St. Bernhards.
